Bible Baptist Church is a local, New Testament body of believers, ministering to the Bennington area in southern Vermont. Pastor Michael Twardy started this work over thirty years ago.
Our Services include Bible classes for every age group. We have a strong missions and outreach base, and are dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The King James Bible is used exclusively in all of our Ministries.
The Bible is our only rule of faith and practice, (see Statement of Faith). A nursery for children up to the age of five is available for every service. We welcome you to visit and worship with us. Church Phone: 802-442-4281 FAQs

Located in the SW corner of Vermont, close to both New York and Massachusettes, on beautiful Historic Route 7A. We are off regular Route 7, taking exit 2. Route 7A is also known as Harwood Hill road, and our church sits at the top of the hill, south of exit 2, at 1425 Harwood Hill Road.

Pastor Michael Richard Twardy was saved at the age of 27, with his wife, Eleanor, under the ministry of John Bonds. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, in 1974. He worked as an associate pastor in Fairfax, VA, before God called him to start Bible Baptist Church in Bennington, Vermont in 1975. Associate, Frederick Aden Roberts was saved at the age of 15, under the ministry of Dan Tidwell in Bartlesville, OK. He met his wife, and they graduated from Massillon Baptist College in Massillon, OH, in 1991. He is maried to Pastor's eldest daughter, Jessica Joleen Twardy. He served as an associate and was ordained at McCauley Avenue Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX. Fred and Jessica have five children, and live in the nearby town of Shaftsbury.
